Multi-Conveyor has recently designed a 9ft x 42in stainless steel sanitary food grade conveyor belt with a rotating discharge end. The rod is used to dump batches of rejected baked goods from the production line.
This content has been written and submitted by the provider. It has been changed only to fit the format and style of this publication.
This section replaces the existing transport conveyor and has been designed to be easily upgraded to suit the customer’s current production scheme.
In the video, Tom Wright, Account Manager for Multi-Conveyor Sales, explains: “The client asked us to dismantle the existing conveyor and install an intermittent conveyor on one of his bakery lines to provide a form of scrap. When they receive a batch or group of poor quality products, they dump them into a container or bin The swivel end lowers so they can be transported to the container or bin When a batch is rejected, the discharge end turns back again and puts it into intermittent transfer mode (customer provided) to move to the next section of the existing conveyor line.
The AOB (Air Operated Box) Pneumatic Case contains controls to rotate the pneumatic rejector to the up or down position. A manual selector switch is also built in so the operator can turn the dump at will. This electrical cabinet will be installed remotely so that the operator can easily select automatic or manual control as needed.
The flush system has ground and polished welds, welded internal frame braces and special sanitary floor supports. In the video, Multi-Conveyor Assessor Dennis Orseske further explains, “This is one of the Multi-Conveyor Level 5 sanitation jobs. If you look closely, each boss is welded on and ground to a specific radius on its own. There are no lock washers. in place and each part is separated from each other (butt plate) so that nothing accumulates inside We have bearing caps that keep grease from accumulating inside and we have what are called clean holes so when you clean the conveyor, you can spray (water) inside. It’s an open mesh upper so you can spray all the way.”
The system also takes security into account. Orseske continued: “For security reasons, we have holes so that you cannot put your hands or fingers through them. We have a return boot and a chain. When the section (which he points to in the video) is lowered, the Conveyor Belt will clear itself (the product). As you can see here, our shaft is threaded. The shaft has a hygienic, removable finger guard to keep your hands from getting stuck in it.”
To minimize particle buildup and simplify cleaning, unique stainless steel hygienic articulated adjustable feet complete the hygienic design. Orseske concluded: “We have a unique hygienic adjustable foot. Run by the boss, no evidence to be seen.”
Multi-conveyors usually have an end drive profile at the discharge end, but since turning conveyors have to go up and down, we needed to keep the mechanism away from the axle, so we used a center drive.
The nearly 1,000-foot slope required Multi-Conveyor to create a custom slotted, retractable frame to handle customer-supplied small wire mesh to complete the smooth transition from the new rotary unloader back to existing production. transition line.
